STEWART MCCULLOUGH

Stew McCulloch, born Rosetown Saskatchewan, 1945. Studied education and fine arts (music composition). Started as an amateur photographer in 1967. Moved to Winnipeg in 1969. Bought a quality 35 mm camera in 1970. Learned photography by practicing, reading, and attending seminars. Started taking assignments and spending the earnings on more education, and better equipment. Began full time with a photography company in 1979. Stayed seven years, then went into partnership with another photographer to form our own company. I found I was in management and wanted to shoot.

I left and started Stafford Studios Ltd doing weddings, teams, and commercial. In about 2000 I had a stroke, and 6 months later, cancer. I couldn't do much for a few years but got back on my feet. I found I couldn't lift my professional equipment and I was broke, so I sold my equipment and bought a digital. I'm limited to a very light camera so am also limited to the quality of the camera. I use a 4 MB Panasonic which weighs about 25g. It has a great Leica lens so I can get good 11x14 prints.

I now make art. Below are three examples of my work.

Many other prints available from abstract to surreal to realistic. Contact me at the email address below for more information
